Earlier this week, I had a conversation with a new patient, who was dealing with postpartum depression after having her first child 2 months ago. She told me that she had been struggling in silence for about a month before her OB/GYN asked how she was feeling and she broke down in tears. During her initial visit, she told me that she had never dealt with anything like this before she gave birth. After this challenging conversation with her, I had a new found respect for just how fragile the human brain can be. May happens to be Mental Health Awareness Month, so I wanted to share this graphic that I came across with some tips for how to take care of yourself!
