What Am I Supposed To Do With All This Free Time???

So... Yesterday morning was a little crazy at my house! I woke up, at 7:20 AM, to smell of freshly brewed coffee and eggs being cooked on the stove. Carol was making breakfast, while all three of our daughters sat at the table waiting patiently. All three girls were already dressed, and my initial thought was "Carol must be some kind of wizard to have all three dressed and breakfast done before 7:30." It was a pretty special day in our house! Our oldest was getting ready to start her second week of school, and our middle daughter was getting ready for her first day of pre-school. And the youngest was planning spend a fun filled morning with her daddy (to be honest I don't think that she really had any plans, but I planned to have a fun morning with her.)

Carol left to go into the office a little before 8, and I got the oldest on the bus, and loaded the two youngest into the car to make the pre-school dropoff. Now typically after this drop off I will be taking the youngest with me to Blackbird CrossFit, so she can hang out in the Kid's Club, with her friends, while Daddy gets to play with his friends. This morning is a little different though, because she is still fighting Hand Foot and Mouth, and I didn't think that I would be nice of me to let her share that with her friends!

So... You are probably wondering why I am telling you all of this. I am telling you this because I took her home, and spent some quality time with her until she fell asleep! Then guess what I did! I grabbed a cup of coffee and a great book and sat outside on my deck to relax. That's right I took some time to relax! We ALL NEED to find time to relax. Our lives are hectic and crazy all the time, and we need to work to create some time to relax! I don't really care what it is that you do to go to your happy place, but whatever it is, find time to do it! I like to read, Carol loves to relax by our pool with a magazine, my Mom loves to weed her garden, it can be ANYTHING!

Just make time to do it!

Remember that you cannot truly take care of others, if you don't take care of yourself!
