I Told You So!  Muscular Strength And Endurance Limits Lower Back Pain.

I try not to say this too often, but I need to tell you know - I Told You So! Lower back pain has been a huge issue in our society for a long time. You can blame it on any one of an infinite number of contributing factors, but a group of scientists took the time to look for answers as to what types of things actually contribute to lower back pain. And I hope that you can guess what they found...

In terms of lower back pain, what do you think was the most highly related factor? Would you think that it was length of hamstrings, leg length inequality, muscle endurance and weakness, or pelvic tilt? Of course it is muscular endurance and weakness! As a matter of fact, the other things are not related to the occurrence of lower back pain, despite the fact that a lot of people will tell you differently. Would you like to hear the other factors that were linked to lower back pain? Ready for this... Length of Back Extensor Muscles, Strength of Hip Flexors, Hip Abductors, and abdominal muscles! Does this sound familiar yet! I guess that this does a pretty good job of explaining the reasoning behind everything that we do for our lower back pain patients!
