We Are All Different!
Every patient is different. Everyone experiences pain differently. So no two people can be treated exactly the same. This has never happened to me, but theoretically, you could have two patients that are identical twins, both could be dealing with lower back pain at the same time. They could have identical lumbar MRI's. However, there is no guarantee that their pain will be the same. You see pain is a very personal thing. It can be altered by your mood, your diet, your exercise habits, the amount of sleep you get at night, how stressful your job is, how stressful your home life is. THE LIST IS NEVER ENDING... So, please stop comparing your pain to someone else's experience. It is not fair to you or the other person.
The thing that we need to focus on is what you can do to decrease the intensity of your pain. Are there certain exercises that will help? Does using ice or heat help? Do medications help? Let us help you figure out what you can do to get relief!
