Week 1 out of 52

How did the first week of 2023 go for you? Are you establishing those habits that you planned on? Are you following through with your plan? Week one is the first measuring stick in determining your success in 2023.

There is no way that you will accomplish any meaningful goal in the first week of the new year, but that does not mean that we cannot be successful in the first week. Forming beneficial habits is definitely not easy, but we can start down that path on Week 1. Establish the building blocks of those positive habits right now.

If we don't choose to actively pursue positive habits to work on, then other negative habits will passively form in their place. If you don't actively get off the couch and put your phone down to exercise, then you will probably continue to scroll through the internet mindlessly on your phone. How can you make it easier to remember to exercise? Maybe you can set an alarm on your phone to remind you to exercise at a certain time. Or you could leave the exercise equipment out on the floor near where you typically sit. Or you could make exercise the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning or get home from work. The idea is to link the action of exercising to something else that will remind you to do it. The positive habits that we invest our time and intention in are the ones that will stick in the long run.
