Yesterday was October 1st. We decided to set up a little challenge for our Freedom Strength members and I wanted to share it with all of you. Just in case you wanted to join in on the fun!
As I am sure you are aware we, at Freedom Chiropractic & Rehab, LOVE to use kettlebells! We love one specific exercise more than any other. We LOVE the kettlebell swing! We hope that this month you will learn to love them as much as we do.
Two years ago, a friend sent me a workout program that focused on doing 300 kettlebell swings every day! I kept that program going for about a month and a half and I loved it and looked forward to it every day.
With all of that said, I want to introduce Swingtober! During the month of October, we are ask you to set a personal goal of doing 4500 kettlebell swings! Do you think that you can do it? Let me tell you - You can! It can be done with several different strategies. The first strategy would be doing 150 swings per day (and you would even get a day off!). Another option would be that you could start on Day 1 with 10 swings, and each day add 10 more until you hit October 30 (then celebrate Halloween with 310 swings if you feel like earning a little extra credit.) If you would prefer you could start with 300 on day one and count down. Please remember that we do not expect you to do these all in one shot. We expect you to do sets and take breaks as necessary.
