**Reminder this newsletter was written for last week**
Last weekend was AWESOME! We had the pleasure of hosting a workshop with our kettlebell mentor in our office! For years, Carol and I have traveled quite a bit to attend continuing education courses. We have even hosted a couple other courses in our office. However, since COVID hit we have not been doing much traveling, if any, to attend continuing education.
However, that did not stop us from learning from Coach Darius. During the pandemic, he was running training sessions through Zoom! As a matter of fact, Madelyn learned how to swing a kettlebell at age 7 by watching and learning from Coach Darius. It has been a couple of years since we have been in the same room, so it was great to have a chance to learn from him in person again. This further cemented for me that - Any opportunity that we get to learn from a mentor must be taken advantage of.
We are not focused on learning the big picture items during these opportunities to learn from someone who has become a mentor. We are honing in on the small stuff. We are focused on the intricate details of movements. We are hyperfocusing on the little tweaks that we can make to our treatment of patients. We pick up more of the "Why" than the "How" of what we are doing. Learning from mentors provides the details that matter!
Who are you learning from?
